Richard and a proctor enter the conference room where George's been waiting to retake his exam. George says he's ready. Richard says he's got three hours to complete the test, starting when he breaks the seal. He wishes George good luck and leaves. George tells himself he can do this now that he's not cheating or married. As he wants to open the test, water drips onto it from a leak in the ceiling.

[S5E3] Luck be an Old Lady

Alex is transporting his patient in a wheelchair, but the wheel seems to be broken. The patient says he attracts bad luck. Alex leaves to get another chair, but Mr. O'Brien gets up and says he can walk. A few moments later, he slips in a puddle of water and falls to the floor. Alex rushes to his side and yells for a gurney.

Jack says he doesn't want to move as things will go wrong and he'll be in pain. Alex says he needs the surgery if he wants to live. Jack is not so sure he wants to live. Alex tells him about Rebecca and now his roommate is wanting to throw him out and he doesn't have a chance of getting a loan, so chances are he's gonna be homeless next week. Alex looks at Izzie at the other side of the room and tells Jack that there must be something worth living for, or at the least the possiblity of something. Jack says there's this girl at the grocery store he's interested in. Alex says the chances are his luck is going to turn around, and then he can finally say hello to that girl.

Jack wakes up and Alex informs him Hahn's coming in in a couple of minutes. Alex tells him about the ceiling collapsing, which led them to find a malignant tumor on his pancreas. Jack starts laughing when he hears he has cancer. Alex says it was still at stage 1, which is very exceptional. They took out the whole tumor and he won't even need chemo. The ceiling collapse saved his life. His luck's turned. Jack decides it's time to say hello to the girl.

Jack, 47, was in the hospital for an abdominal aortic aneurysm repair. A CT showed calcification, so Cristina ordered a CT angiogram to see if he had worsened or remained stable. When his wheelchair broke, he decided just to walk the rest of the way, but he slipped and hit his head. While he was getting a CT for that, water shorted out the CT machine. After all that, he wondered if he should just not have the surgery because he had bad luck. Alex told him he needed the surgery to live, so he agreed to it. In surgery, the roof started to leak and ultimately caved in. They covered Jack's open chest and then prepared to move him to another OR. Because they were worried about debris from the roof, they opened the incision larger to search his abdominal cavity. While they were looking, they found a tumor in his pancreas. He thought it was another sign of his bad luck, but Alex said it was actually good luck because they caught it earlier than they usually catch pancreatic cancer. They removed the tumor and sent it to pathology. The tumor resection was considered curative.

Chen is invited by the FBI to help them after they get a hit on the IP address used by Rosalind. They head to Seattle and find two more victims and a message Rosalind left behind wishing them the best of luck next time.

The look on Sansa's face upon greeting Roose Bolton blended disgust and a desire to run away, before she put on her best smile and curtsied just like a proper lady. Then, as she returned to her old rooms, the housekeeper greeted her "Welcome home, Lady Stark. The North remembers." Yes! Oh, I hope this works out for Sansa and she poisons all their dinners or stabs them all in the eye.

It wasn't even a line, it was a look. The brothel bouncer rubs Tyrion's head, saying it's good luck to rub the head of a dwarf. Without skipping a beat, Tyrion replies "It's even better luck to suck a dwarf's c---", and Varys turns his head in the best possible "Oh, FFS" way in history.

Initially, Tabitha comes off as a bit more stern than Pop Tate. Unlike her grandfather, she has stricter rules in regards to the diner, such as no running tabs. This is due to the fact that she's a well-established businesswoman and former CEO, who thinks critically and analytically. It is these very same traits that led to her being appointed to the Town Council. However, she is also compassionate and kind-hearted. When Jughead first approached her for a job at the diner, she turned him down, but after seeing that he was in need of money after due to being hunted down by debt collectors, she offered him a job. She also fed Jim Hubbard, a local man, who was down on his luck and unable to pay for his meal at the diner. Despite having just only moved to Riverdale, she has quickly grown fond of the town and it's residents.

The family receive a warm welcome at Duneagle Castle when they visit Rose and her parents in the Highlands. But there is no disguising the tensions between their hosts. Back at Downton, Carson is determined to keep the servants working hard, but with a country fair coming up, will some be tempted to push their luck? Could romance be on the cards for Mrs Patmore?

If you've also been in denial about the rapidly approaching holidays and still need to buy some presents, you are in luck. I hate to encourage consumerism in the vein of some disgusting lifestyle blog, but this is a once per year occasion. None of these are affiliate links and all are something I can personally vouch for unless otherwise mentioned. Let's make Jesus proud! Woo-hoo, capitalism!

Even though Lisbon's often annoyed by Jane's behavior, she trusts him and has his back. In the fourth season finale (The Crimson Hat) Jane hugs her and tells her "Good luck, Teresa. Love you." before faking her death. She later asks him about it, he claims not to remember what he said. At the end of the episode, Jane reaches for her hand.

In "Ladies of the Evening," Dorothy, Rose, and Blanche are planning a night out to attend a post-premiere movie party with Burt Reynolds. Unfortunately, Blanche learns her house is riddled with termites and needs to be fumigated. The girls then decide to have a weekend getaway and rent a hotel room right on the beach. Blanche only has three tickets for the party, so Sophia is sidelined and spends the evening alone. Before hailing a taxi, Blanche suggests they grab a quick drink at the bar, but as luck would have it, the hotel is raided by the cops. The girls get caught up in the commotion and are wrongfully arrested for being illegal sex workers.

After, in the young king's chambers, they consummate their marriage. Tommen is spellbound, even though his first time didn't last long and who can blame the lucky kid? He wants to do nothing but this all day, every day, for the rest of his life. Margaery plies him with the Tyrell charm, though it is hardly needed, and Tommen admits to not feeling a trace of guilt for inheriting Joffrey's bride, what with his, *sniff* untimely demise... Margaery withholds round two while gliding around his four-poster in her robe, pouring sweet words in his ear as she hints at Cersei's over-protectiveness and how she will never let her baby boy out of her sight.

Cut to Sansa/Alayne, Littlefinger, and their Vale-men escorts as they approach Moat Cailin, the gateway to the North. Sansa recognizes the locale from her trip to King's Landing in Season One, and quickly deduces that they are heading to her old home, and that Littlefinger's marriage proposal was not for him, but for her. He confirms this and Sansa is horrified to think the Petyr will marry her off to Roose, but he is already married. She'll be marrying Ramsay instead. Not too keen on making the acquaintances of the family who betrayed her own and who were indirectly responsible for her lady mother's death and directly responsible for her kingly brother's; Sansa is quickly turning hysterical at this horrible turn of events.

Within The House of Black and White, Arya lies on her bed, examining the iron coin that marks her as an initiate. The waif enters her room and teaches the noble-born lady that she's not as badass as she thinks she is. And that she is not ready to cast aside her identity. A man uses his uncanny stealth skills to appear abruptly and defuse the situation, as Arya is ready to stick the waif with Needle in repayment for the cane slaps. Jaqen tell her straight and true. If she believes she is ready to learn, then she must prove it. To throw away everything that physically connects her to her old life. The ragged jerkin she wore since the beginning of Season Two, and the filthy clothes she has worn since Season One, the Hound's stolen sack of silver and of course; Jon's last gift to her.

Sansa and Petyr have arrived at Winterfell, and Reek recognises her almost instantly from where he skulks in the rookery. Roose and Ramsay make their near ghastly introductions, though as we've seen before, Ramsay can wear a convincing mask of sanity and Sansa does her family proud as she does not quail or scream but uses her deadliest, most honed weapon; her courtesy. Myranda, Ramsay's bed warmer and favoured mistress looks on with something untoward towards the new lady of the castle. Once Sansa is taken to her old rooms, her elderly servant, almost a dead ringer for Old Nan welcomes the child back home and utters what many a book-fan have longed to hear since the aftermath of the Red Wedding: "The North Remembers." 041b061a72
